Advice.

Humans are like trashcans; not only is it rare to find a clean one, but the more trash you feed them, the more likely they are to spill all of your contents.

Lesson: Keep your own trash to yourself.

Expect the Unexpected.

Five years ago, would I have expected myself to be here.. doing what I do..
with the people I'm with? No, not really.

Five years from now, do I ha
ve an idea of where I might be? Maybe.
Until now, I always thought my future was in my hands. In a way, it kind of is,
after all..if life is a canvas then you are the painter.
But the paint smudges on our canvas when we are not careful,
and those smudges
transform our canvas into a different kind of painting..
from realistic to abstract perhaps?

Once the painting is done, it won't look exactly like the result we had in mind.
But is that any reason not to paint?
Ofcourse not.

The new painting can be just as good or even better...
but do remember, don't put all ur hope in the vision you've expected.

Although I believe that life is how we make it to be, no matter how much we
attempt to alter it..
we must learn to expect the unexpected.

Why?
Because with this learning
comes acceptance of change and flexibility in attitude.

How?
It is easier to react to a change of plan when the unexpected is expected.

Children of the 90's: FLASHBACK!

Remember wearing THIS?

WELL GET READY TO WEAR IT ALL OVER AGAIN!
Bold colours, mixing prints, clashing colours = the trend for S/S 2010. Isn't it weird how fashion repeats itself?

Once you've had a bite of the cake, u find urself going back for the whole slice. so is it best to avoid the the small bites in the first place? Or should we approach them as a way to satisfy our curiosity? - LondonFashionDiaries

Rewind.

"If only I had a rewind button...I would go back in time and choose a different road."
A rewind button for life. A button so powerful yet non-existent. Why? Because life should not be rewinded. Don't be stuck in reverse when you have the chance to move forward. Maintain the momentum, by living and learning as you go. Keep on moving forward.

If I Could Turn Back Time...

Unfortunately, we can never turn back time, but what we can do is learn from those incidents that made us wish we could turn back time.

Why?

Because life is a journey. Making mistakes is just part of the ride, but it is the lessons we gain from our mistakes that truly fuel our ride.

Abandoned.

I can’t believe I’ve abandoned this blog for three months! Has it really been this long? Wow. So basically I’ve been studying a lot lately and I now have two months and two weeks till my dissertation is due. Although I am stressing, I am quite positive I will manage to finish my paper on time. (If not before) My topic is slowly developing as I write my paper, it's so weird how I started with a completely different topic and ended up with the one I’m doing now.

Lately, I’ve been going to the library everyday, I decided although I don’t have to attend university everyday, I should force myself to go to the library everyday to keep myself on track. It was working until the sunshine decided to come out and lure me to ditch the library ! I’m allowing myself to take breaks for sanity purposes of course. We can't be too strict on ourselves now can we?

Looking back at my old posts brought back memories of the fearful person I was. I used to fear writing my dissertation because I did not know what to expect. However I realized that fearing the unknown is never the answer. My advice is:

When faced with a difficult situation, don’t fear the unknown. Rather than fearing what’s going to happen, FACE that moment, ENJOY it, and make the best out of it... and once the situation becomes completely under YOUR control, slowly, you will begin to lose grip of the fear you once held on to so tight. -LondonFashionDiaries
